We're having a baby!

We found out on 8 February that I was pregnant and we have been over the moon ever since. This was a very much planned for pregnancy, and we've felt so blessed that it all happened so quickly. In a short period of time we - found out I was pregnant, bought a house, and I started a new job.

The pregnancy so far has been really good. I had no complaints at all until 25 weeks - then came the swollen feet. Seriously, when they say your feet can swell they really mean it. My little size 6 feet could easily be mistaken for big foots and my ankles have gone missing. It's an ugly sight, but luckily not painful (although some days it gets to an uncomfortable stage when the fat roll appears where my ankle should be).

We found out at a 16 week scan that we're having a little baby boy.

My babybump is certainly noticeable (I even had a lady ask if I needed help getting off my bench in bodypump - thanks, but I'm happy to roll off ... haha). This is a picture from 26 weeks.

TWENTY-EIGHT WEEKS

Weight gained:18 pounds

Workouts:This week was a good week - 2 bodypumps, 20 minute walk, 50 squats

Labor Signs: None, thankfully

Symptoms: Swollen feet

Movement: Lots of movement and we love tapping back when we moves

Food Aversions: hot chocolate - I had it one morning and then had a bit of morning sickness and since then it's on the off list.

Food Cravings: No, but the baby does seem to love peanut butter, Indian, and grapes

Sleep: Thanks to the snoogle it has been fabulous (praying it stays that way). Although now it is starting to get trickier to get up. I'm probably only a few weeks away from needing the Aussie to push me up ... haha. I *may* already be using him to put on my socks.

Stretch marks? None so far - I have been oiling up the tummy with bio oil and Lush lotion

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my stomach, a cold cider and coke zero

Fun and/or Interesting Things from the Week: I took the gestational diabetes test, so hopefully it comes back okay. I actually didn't mind the lime drink (although I was hoping for an orange one)

Belly Button in or out? My deep belly button is flattening by the day

Wedding rings on or off? I took them off two weeks ago after a scare. My hands swelled up and I couldn't get the rings off for awhile. My ring finger was an angry red colour by the end. After reading horror stories about rings being cut off, I decided to play it safe.

Happy or moody most of the time: So incredibly happy (and nervous)

New Baby Items: None this week - but we have a lot on the "to buy" list

Off to harass the Aussie until he feeds us,

B
